Hi!
Let me introduce myself. I was born 71 years ago in Kokomo, Indiana, and
define myself in the following ways: In
terms of relationships, I am the daughter of good Christian parents, the
wife of an Adventist minister, the mother of three wonderful sons, and
the grandmother of nine adorable granddaughters and three precious
grandsons. As a missionary/
minister’s wife, I’ve had the privilege
of living and traveling in many parts of the world. In
professional terms, I dropped out of nursing school to get married. When
my boys were small I stayed home and taught piano lessons. After they
were all in school I worked in secretarial and editorial capacities at
the same church headquarters offices as my husband. I joyfully retired
at the age of 62! In
terms of interests (now we’re getting to the real
me!) I enjoy music, reading, writing, quilting and genealogy. I play the
piano and psaltery and enjoy attending concerts. My reading ranges from
spirituality to history and everything in between. I have had one book
published, as well as a number of articles in church magazines, numerous
news articles and mission stories, and several poems. As other quilters
will surely understand, I find quilting wonderfully relaxing and I’m
seldom seen without a needle in my hand! I've promised all my
grandchildren a handmade quilt for their 16th birthday. My most recent
interest is genealogy. As
a church member I’ve served in just about every position, from cradle
roll leader to church elder. Spiritually, I am a struggling seeker of
God’s grace. I came late to a recognition of my real need of God,
through the experience of understanding my youngest son’s
homosexuality. View
