I've always been a bookworm. Before my teens, one of my favorite Saturday night activities was going to the library and checking out my limit of books. When I find an author I like I tend to read everything he/she has written. Some authors whose multiple titles I've read are: Philip Yancey, CS Lewis, Richard Foster and Max Lucado (spirituality), Gerald Durrell, Sally Carrigher and Farley Mowat (nature), Madeleine L'Engle (spirituality and children's lit), Jan Karon and Jennifer Chiaverini (wholesome fiction). In recent years, as I see the sands falling through the hourglass of time ever more quickly, I feel an urgency to read as much as I can while I still have good eyesight! A few years ago I started keeping a list of all the books I've read. The last couple of years I've added a brief description. For the benefit of other bibliophiles, I am posting those lists here. I've also include a list of my favorite pieces of music. |
